Celebrating Dedication: The Excellence in Action Recognition Program for Healthcare Professionals

November 7, 2024

An important part of the Ingenovis Health ACT program is ensuring healthcare professionals are recognized and encouraged for their hard work, supporting our mission to prevent burnout and increase job satisfaction across the industry.

With this in mind, we created the Excellence in Action recognition program. Excellence in Action offers three prestigious awards for clinicians working with an Ingenovis Health brand: the DAISY Award, the Sunshine Award and the Distinguished Provider Award.

These recognitions, which are bestowed based on patient, facility, coworker or peer nomination, are designed to foster a sense of pride and continued excellence for clinicians across the Ingenovis Health family of brands.

DAISY Award

Established in 1999, the DAISY Award honors exceptional nurses for their dedication and outstanding patient care. The DAISY Foundation (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) was founded by the family of Patrick Barnes, who passed away from complications of an autoimmune disease. His family chose to turn their grief into a way to express gratitude for the compassionate care provided by nurses. Today, this ongoing recognition program is active in thousands of healthcare facilities worldwide.

Sunshine Award

The Sunshine Award recognizes allied healthcare professionals who make significant contributions to their field, often going above and beyond in their roles, including providing specialized services crucial to patient care delivery. This award celebrates their dedication, expertise and the positive impact on patient outcomes.

Distinguished Provider Award

Designed exclusively for physicians, nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs), the Distinguished Provider Award honors those who exemplify excellence in healthcare. This award acknowledges providers who demonstrate outstanding clinical practice, compassionate patient care and a commitment to advancing the future of healthcare.

Nominate an Outstanding Clinician

Nominating a healthcare provider for their high standard of care and quality practice is a meaningful way to recognize their impact and support Ingenovis Health’s mission to be a home for healthcare talent.

Eligible clinicians nominated and selected for the award will receive a $50 credit to spend on the Ingenovis Health online company store as a token of appreciation for their exceptional contributions. To nominate a nurse, Allied healthcare professional, Physician, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, fill out the nomination form, which takes about 5 minutes to complete.

*Clinicians in good standing with any Ingenovis Health brand may be nominated by patients, health system leaders or company employees. Nominations should include supporting documentation or clear examples of their exemplary work, and clinicians can be nominated an unlimited number of times.
