Travelers are provided the contact information to sign up for their choice based on availability.<br> -EMR: Cerner<br> -Scrubs: Navy<br> <br> <strong><u>Orientation Details:</u></strong><br> -FDI will be sent to all travelers, regardless of new/renew/return no later than Fridays before their contract start date.<br> <br> -Email is titled <u>Welcome to UAB</u> and sometimes goes to the junk/spam folder for whatever reason. Please make sure your talent knows to check those folders as well. It will be sent from travelers@uabmc.edu or Chasity Winston.<br> <br> <strong>*Orientation week schedule for those who are new or have not been at UAB in 11-12 months will be as follows;</strong><br>
<ul> <li>Wednesday: work on modules onsite at computer lab noted in FDI <li>Thursday: pick up ID Badge and Parking Permit, reach out to manager for schedule if you have not received. <li>Friday: 8a-12:30p - Impact Training onsite, Unit Orientation </ul> *Please make sure you use your company time sheet to keep up with hours completing HealthStreams, Impact Training, and Unit Orientation. The modules take between 6-8 hours of time. The computer class is 8 hours. Then you will be set up for two 12 hour unit orientation shifts.<br> <br> *Please send your first weeks’ time sheet totravelerpay@uabmc.edu no later than the 7 am Monday following your first week.<br> <br> <strong><u>Position Details:</u></strong><br> -BLS, ACLS required<br> -Previous travel experience required<br> -MINIMUM 2+ YEARS in MS required<br> -SDU experience preferred<br> -Ratios – 1: 5-6<br> -29 beds total: 6 SDU beds, 23 M/S beds, <br> -RN are expected to care for COVID pts as needed and dictated by census<br> -4 12hr shifts<br> -Every other weekend is required<br> -This need is for 13 weeks<br> <br> <strong>RNs will be assigned a home unit but may be asked to float. See below for details: </strong><strong><u>Home Unit is: TBNU (Trauma/Burn/Ortho)</u></strong><br> <br> <u>M/S Units Include:</u> M/S, Surgical, Ortho, Nephrology, General Med/Infectious disease, GI Surgical Onc, Trauma Recover, Neuro<br> <u>TELE Units Include:</u> Transplant, Acute trauma, GI, Head and Neck, Plastics, Urology, Burn, Ortho, Cardiovascular/Thoracic<br> <br> <strong>Floating expectation: </strong><br> These unit based travelers would be expected to float to like units (if necessary), in rotation with UAB unit specific staff.
